The Principal's message

Asalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu
We do what we do for the love of it! You’ll hear the same sentiments echoing around the place here at the Boys School. Let me introduce myself. My name is Hameed Alam. I’m the Principal (or Headteacher if you’re in the UK). A school with a heart is how I would describe ourselves.
Our school offers a British style curriculum with the National Curriculum of England at its core. As well as also offering the Arabic language, Islamic and Quran curricula, we have a wider curriculum with our respect values at its heart and some quite notable sporting prowess.
Our teachers, from various backgrounds, are qualified, experienced and caring. Although the ‘caring’ aspect might be a little subjective, it is a vital part of who we are. It certainly underpins our commitment to our children and their relationship to others, to the community and their environment. We are rightly proud of the immense improvements thus far.
We have an active Extra-Curricular Activity programme that has really flourished this year. With a wide ranging set of activities such as a chess club, junk modelling, various board games and badminton, we do keep our kids engaged and active. Our refurbished library with many thousands of new interesting books for our children has provided a fantastic focal point for our successful Book Week this year. Of course, a fully fitted Bedouin reading tent may have had something to do with it!
Not forgetting the fact that, once again, our under 7’s football team did reach the finals of the national Qatar (Olympic Day) football championship. And we won! That was quite an achievement for our boys.
Our management team, teachers and staff, children, parents, are all part of this fantastic progress.
