Please let the teacher know if your child has any specific dietary requirements or allergies. Nursery classes have their snack between 8-9am. Reception classes have their snack between 9-10am. Sweets, nuts and chewing gums are not allowed at any time.

Clothing
Please label every item of clothing that your child brings to school. Unnamed articles can get lost making their owners very upset. We would like all children in Creche, Nursery and Reception to wear school uniform. It is very helpful if your child can dress and undress himsef/hersef so please teach them to become independent before they start school. It is in your childs own interest to wear sensible slip on shoes. No Lace ups or Slippers or high heals for girls

Parental Involvement
There is Parent's evenings twice a year. In addition, mothers will be invited to participate in a variety of activities such as sports day, book week, open house and other functions. In the foundation stage we teach basic skills on language development and on the provision of a broad curriculum that will enable each child to move towards developing his/her full potential and all the time teaching the values of Islam. We follow the B.N. curriculum in the teaching of Numeracy, Literacy, Knowledge and Understanding of the world, Creative, Physical and Social and Emotional development. We also aim to provide:

  • A secure environment
  • Opportunities for the application of knowledge, skills and Concepts.
  • Opportunities to develop a sense of achievement built in success.
  • Opportunities to develop confidence
  • A secure Islamic foundation

In the classroom we use an integrated approach to the curriculum based around themes. We aim to provide for all children, including the gifted and the slow learner. In doing so we aim to help each child to become balanced, happy and socially competent, and have a responsible attitude towards others and the environment.

It is helpful to know a little about your child before entry to school. Please help your child to complete the following pages and kindly return to the teacher as soon as possible
